SPIM: 15 and 16 November 2018

Last November 15thand 16thwas held the 6th SPIM (Skin Physiology International Meeting), an International Congress that highlights the scientific advances in terms of skin biology and physiology.

 

Once again this year, great International Researchers have presented their work around four major themes:

– Apoptosis vs. senescence

– Skin microbiota

– Intercellular communication

– Skin & neurosensitivity

 

Following the study of their file by the Scientific Committee, 9 students have presented their latest scientific researches and the most relevant presentation was rewarded with a Prize of 15,000 €.

 

The “Best Junior Scientist” Award was awarded to Maria Magdalena KLICZNIK, who presented her work on the development of a “humanized” mouse model to study T cell response in vivo.

Then, the Award for the “Best Poster” was given to Laetitia GORISSE for her research on carbamylation of proteins in skin aging.

 

The balance of this year: around 120 participants and more than 11 nationalities represented. See you next November 19th-20th, 2020!
